*** We have basically 2 lists. Members receive weekly updates and
invitations to new events, mixers and tournaments. Non-members are
notified of cancellations, changes of venue and some special events.
This is our general newsletter going to 1,300+ San Diego County tennis
players about twice a month (FREE). It contains general information
about tennis events, SDTN news, and more.
This newsletter is for members of the San Diego Tennis Network only. It
contains everything from "e-tennis updates" plus specific news items
about membership issues, parties and outings, discounted tickets,
freebees, and other member-only information, emailed as necessary. Only
members of SDTN will receive this newsletter.
4. What is the San Diego Tennis Network?
*** SDTN is a social club for tennis players, singles or couples, who
want to play socially, meet others, like to travel and have fun. SDTN
is a currently active in North County with a few mixers with other clubs in South County.
5. Where does the SDTN play tennis?

and Barnes Tennis Center. We also try to go to different clubs

6. What level of tennis will I find at SDTN?
*** Most of our members are intermediate to advanced players, and some
are very advanced players, who like a fast paced, competitive match.
The majority of our matches are geared to intermediate and higher

players who prefer singles match play.
So, if you are an advanced-beginner, intermediate or haven't been
playing for awhile or are looking for fast paced, competitive tennis,
we'll get you a match at SDTN.
7. How much does it cost to join SDTN?
*** Our motto, "You don't pay if you don't play". Our fees are
reasonable and apply to members and non-members. The only exception are
tennis pros, who are always welcome to join us and play for free,
because this adds a good level of expertise and competitiveness to our
events.
As of April 2007, we charge a $50 initiation fee and $140 annual fee.
$5 for members at nightly network mixers, $10 for non-members and we
provide new balls.
8. Where do the funds go?
*** From time to time we make funds available for charitable causes,
like the Holiday Project. We also support our
members and other people in need.
9. Who runs the SDTN?
*** The original owner decided to take advantage of another
opportunity. The new owners are 5 current members of SDTN. The common

social environment to play and promote the sport of Tennis by building
on our excellent reputation and history of great people and fun events.
10. How do we communicate at SDTN?
*** Communications are via email or you can catch us on the courts. You
can communicate with the new owners by emailing:

is the web site http://www.tennis-sandiego.com This web site tells you
all about SDTN and upcoming activities. It has information about San
Diego, its history, tennis clubs, restaurants, shopping, travel, etc.
Last minute changes will be communicated via email since a cancellation
may occur after our Wednesday afternoon deadline to make changes on
this website.

clinics, weekend events and travel. The other area we are concentrating
on is travel. We organize seasonal events like trips to Mammoth, Big
Bear, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, Labor Day Beach Party (local). We are
also working on trips to domestic and foreign destinations for great
fun, tennis, and other activities.
